Hey I would just like to point out that I am “Biker Chick of the Month” for June over at Biker Chick Tips! Lots of good reading there, cool website run by my friend Tina “Sash” Walker of RoadPickle.com fame!
You probably know of Chad Reed. He's originally from Australia, but has raced primarily here in the USA for over 10 years. He won the 2004 AMA Supercross Series Championship, the 2008 AMA Supercross Series Championship, and the 2009 AMA National Motocross Championship. And before all that, he raced in the World MX GP's.
Chad had a fall at the recent Dallas Supercross. Here is my video message to Chad.
The best thing about riding a motocross track is the elevation change. This gives you more dimensions to the track and allows you to “spice up” some obstacles. One of these obstacles is the ski jumps. Most of the time, you find these jumps right before a downhill and there is no real lip or [...]
My life is largely an open book. On this and other blogs you can read about my passion for motorcycles, hunting for vintage treasures at flea markets, family life, kids’ clay art, news and happenings in my local area, and – at least for a few brief months during the last Presidential election – my […]

Last weekend, the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships kicked off the 2012 series at Hangtown near Sacramento, CA and the racing delivered in a big way. James Stewart made his triumphant return to outdoor racing, winning both of the 450 Class motos in his debut ride aboard the factory Yoshimura/Suzuki RM-Z450. In the 250 Class, the action was virtually non-stop, as Blake Baggett, Ken Roczen, and Justin Barcia vied for every inch of racetrack, with Baggett taking the win in both motos for the overall.

Today was the second bone marrow drive for Jeremy McGrath's wife Kim at the Monster Energy Headquarters in Corona, CA. Kim was recently diagnosed with "Leukemia Cutis", which is Leukemia of the skin and will likely undergo a bone marrow transplant soon. Jeremy has taken to social media outlets in an effort to get more people registered as donors. The event was filled with friends and fans of the Motocross industry that were all willing to help "be the one to save a life." Joining the registry is a simple, and painless process - we truly have the power to save lives!

I was back out at Pala Raceway for something very special. I had already been there for four days for the Finale of the 2010 AMA MX season and the Awards Banquet.
But, as I mentioned, this was something special - the first official get together of Team USA for the 2010 Motocross of Nations. Team Manager Roger De Coster, racers Ryan Dungey, Andrew Short, Trey Canard, and all the support staff needed for an effort like this.

I felt very privileged to be invited to such an event. I soon came to realize that the most unique and moving part of the day was seeing the look of real happiness, the feeling of true honor, and the comraderie for each person involved, as 'The Team' came together for the first time. It was contagious. They seem to be a real 'team' already, working together well, and have great things to say about each other. Again, it was contagious!

‘Round here I write mostly about riding. I hardly ever write about my personal life unless it’s a major milestone or something. Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg is riding a 2012 Honda 450 this year and he's already made a few tweaks to it. First things first, Twitch has to make sure his ride is fresh with clean plastics and new graphics all the time. As for the rest of his mods, Twitch refers to them as tricks of the trade such as running flipped levers and he always rides a Hinson clutch. See what Twitch is riding in this Setup.
Rick Johnson is a seven time AMA Motocross / Supercross Champion. 1984, '86, '88 AMA 250 National MX Champion. 1987, '88 500cc National Motocross Champion. 1986, '88 AMA Supercross Series Champion.
The first race of the 2012 season has come and gone. I'll share with you my opinion on the top guys in the 450 class, the 250 West winner, and what I'd work on if I was racing in Phoenix Round 2.
Ryan Villopoto - I feel Ryan came ready to race. He picked up right where he left off last year. He looks better than I anticipated, as I thought he might come in a bit over confident. If you judge it by this first race, he's in a class by himself.

In a decision issued by the FIM International Disciplinary Court on 12 December 2014, James Stewart was handed a 16 month suspension following a positive doping control for a banned stimulant, and was disqualified from four races in the AMA supercross series in which he had participated while serving a provisional suspension from the FIM. Nothing reminds me of motocross more than a rutted up, fast, flowing track. This is the pinnacle obstacle that separates the men from the boys. If you watched Southwick this past weekend, then you saw the insane ruts in the moist New England sand. Most beginners find themselves nervous approaching long ruts and often end [...]
Haven’t seen anything like this before! The Red Bull straight rhythm saw riders compete on a straight track with a series of rhythm sections. In the 2010 AMA Supercross Championship series, Josh Hill consistently found himself on the podium. He ended the season sixth overall in points, in which he finished second in 5 of the 17 Main Events. In July, Josh spent time preparing for the 'Speed and Style' event for X Games 16. His practice session went from 'landing a backflip on his first attempt' to 'under rotating the next time around.' This horrific crash sent Josh to the hospital with a list of injuries and a whole new respect for the sport of Freestyle Motocross. I caught up with Josh, at Pala Raceway for the DC Moto TF Ride day, where he talked about his rehabilitation, his plans for Supercross 2011, and more!

Angela: Hey Josh, you are looking good. How are you feeling?
Josh: Yeah I am getting better, everything is starting to heal up and I am getting to where I can function normally again. So it is getting better, but I need to focus on getting my body stronger. That is my main thing right now.
